Bosca's newt (Lissotriton boscai, formerly Triturus boscai), also known as the Iberian newt, is a species of newt in the Salamandridae family. It is found in Portugal and western Spain.

Distribution and habitat

Its natural habitats are temperate forests, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, sandy shores, arable land, pastureland, rural gardens, water storage areas, ponds, and introduced vegetation. It is threatened by habitat loss.
